UTS Health students! Explore healthcare in India this year!!
This is your unique opportunity to learn advanced real-world empathy skills, connect with people from your host community & support them towards better health outcomes!
UTS Health students have the chance to learn advanced empathy skills and apply empathy to bring about meaningful, positive health impacts in the real world. After two amazing groups during summer we’re back and hosting three groups later this year… and you’re invited to apply!
Drishtee Immersion is a unique organisation that believes in the transformative potential of empathy. When you join our program in India, you are a guest of the host community in Maharashtra. Village leaders and elders have invited your group, to spend time understanding each other, in order to foster local knowledge, confidence and motivation to move forward, together. It’s a special experience that many UTS Health students have enjoyed - read from UTS nursing/health students Alice Perkes, Jen Sewak & Bilqis Kencana.
Program activities: learn advanced skills for cross-cultural empathy, self-development, Indian tribal culture and language; many community interactions in healthcare and beyond; spend your time collaborating hand-in-hand with your host community; and awesome professional mindful yoga training; & a fun Mumbai stopover
