Immersion Stories: Anna Tago

Before going to India, I was sure of one thing, that the trip would bring change into my life. Going to a different country, with new people, with changes in my routine, encountering new environments, and embarking on an exploration of culture vastly different to anything I had known previously. In many ways, not knowing exactly what to expect was at once slightly nerve-wracking and exhilarating. Looking back, it is clear that the Drishtee Immersion experience did indeed change me. And I am so glad for the opportunity…. this is Anna’s story of personal confrontation, being open, accepting and celebrating difference, and being able to see fundamental familiarity across cultural barriers.

Immersion Stories: Rubee King

If you treat life as a journey, open to unexpected twists and turns, the exploration will inevitably lead to new people, new stories, new perspectives and inspiration. Rubee King, spending time in a tribal village in Maharashtra, found one such serendipitous connection, to a family, their love for two daughters and how it is possible to find connection through deeply personal creative solace. This is a story in reflection of this deeply human experience.
